A fast-growing construction subcontractor is seeking a reliable, hands-on Yard Manager to run the daily operations of its equipment and manufacturing yard. The Role
This is a leadership role for someone who knows their way around inventory, logistics, and a busy yard floor. You’ll coordinate material flow, lead the yard crew, support site teams, and keep everything moving — safely, efficiently, and to spec. You’ll also manage basic fabrication workflows and make sure all gear is ready to hit site without delay.

Your Day-to-Day

Run all yard operations: receiving, dispatching, loading, unloading, and movement of construction equipment and materials

Track stock levels, material returns, and usage — no guesswork, no double handling

Keep the yard tight: tools and equipment stored, serviced, and logged accurately

Coordinate daily requests from site teams and manage delivery schedules

Supervise prefabrication and assembly tasks in line with engineering drawings

Oversee boilermaker work and support production deadlines

Enforce quality control across assembly and dispatch

Collaborate with engineers and project teams to interpret specs and fix issues fast

Lead the yard crew and ensure safe, productive workflows at all times

What You Bring

Experience in a construction or manufacturing yard (bonus if you’ve handled scaffolding, plant, or heavy gear)

Solid coordination and leadership chops — you can manage a team and keep the day flowing

Forklift ticket is essential

Familiarity with drawings, assembly work, and basic compliance standards

Strong communication — you can take a call from site and solve problems on the fly

Detail-focused and proactive — you spot risks and fix them before they bite

Safety-first mindset and good manual handling practices
