About the role

This is a full-time Transport and Logistics Manager role based in Yatala, Queensland, working for Explore Industries Australia Pty Ltd, a leading manufacturer and distributor of fibreglass swimming pools . In this crucial position, you will be responsible for overseeing the scheduling of all swimming pool deliveries and products to our dealer network.

What you'll be doing

Leading a team of distribution staff and truck drivers in various locations throughout Australia

Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise the company's supply chain and distribution processes

Manage the daily operations of distribution yards and transportation assets

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators to identify areas for improvement and drive operational efficiency

Liaise with cross-functional teams to coordinate logistics activities and resolve any issues that may arise

Oversee the training and development of distribution personnel to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively

Collaborate with sub contractors and customers to build strong relationships and enhance the overall customer experience

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations and safety standards

Maintaining a fleet of freight assets throughout Australia

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar transport or logistics management role, preferably within the manufacturing, transport or logistics industry

Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective logistics strategies to optimise supply chain operations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think critically and find creative solutions to complex challenges

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Accurately input and maintain delivery schedules and logistics information in relevant systems

Knowledge of NHVR regulations
