About the role
Mater is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Administration Officer to join their Business Services team at our Newstead location casual basis.
In this pivotal role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth delivery of high-quality administrative and business support services. Working closely with the Business Services team, you will contribute to operational efficiency, patient and staff experience, and the effective management of daily workflows.
Salary range: $39.79 - $44.25 per hour plus + casual loading + 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 + access to many staff benefits!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Administration Officer in the Business Services team, you’ll provide high-level administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of Mater Hospitals Brisbane, Springfield and Mothers.
In this role, you will:
- Manage a range of administrative tasks including billing, receipting, banking and patient information requests
- Support informed financial consent processes, health fund checks and patient payments
- Coordinate meetings, events and documentation such as agendas and minutes
- Maintain accurate records, data and compliance requirements
- Assist with rostering, recruitment and onboarding of new team members
- Contribute to projects, process improvements and financial outcomes
About you
You’re an organised and proactive administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment and delivering outstanding service. With strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills, you can manage competing priorities while supporting both patients and colleagues.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in senior administration, ideally within healthcare
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with health or billing systems
- Strong organisational, problem-solving and customer service skills
- A relevant business administration qualification (highly regarded)
