About the role
$85,000 per annum, plus 12% superannuation and leave loading
Initial 12-month, fixed-term position.
Full-time, 38 hours
Monday – Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday 8:00am – 4:00pm
Reporting to the Director Marketing, Media and Communications, the Communications Officer plays a key role in shaping and sharing the organisation’s voice, both internally and externally. This dynamic role involves developing and rolling out communication strategies, creating engaging content across multiple channels, and building strong relationships with media and the community.
About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role, you will:
Selection Criteria:
Writing, editing, and distributing a range of content, including blog posts, social media updates, press releases, newsletters, and speeches.
Managing website content, social media platforms, and digital media archives to ensure accuracy and engagement.
Ensuring all communications align with the organisation’s brand guidelines, maintaining a consistent tone, voice, and visual identity.
Creating and distributing internal communications to keep staff informed, connected, and engaged.
Coordinating internal and external events that reflect the organisation’s values, purpose, and mission.
Demonstrated ability to write and edit clear, compelling content across a variety of formats and channels.
Strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement effective communication plans.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate communications activities and provide insights and recommendations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build strong relationships with media, stakeholders, and team members.
Well-developed time management and organisational skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Creative thinking to design engaging and innovative communication campaigns.
