About the role

Spacecube Pty Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. Based in Dandenong South, VIC, this role is a pivotal part of the finance team and will support the CFO to oversee various financial aspects of the organisation. This is a fixed term opportunity for 6 months.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and reviewing financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow reports

Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections

Reconciling general ledger accounts and investigating any discrepancies

Assisting with the month-end and year-end close processes

Providing financial analysis and reporting to support business decision-making

Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies

Mentoring and supervising more junior members of the finance team

Identifying opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements

What we're looking for

CA or CPA qualified, preferably with experience with a Big 4 or Tier 2 firm.

5+ years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within a fast-paced, growing organisation

Strong technical accounting skills, with a deep understanding of financial reporting, general ledger management, and month-end/year-end close processes

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for details

Proficient in accounting software (MYOB, Xero preferred), advanced Excel skills, and other relevant financial tools

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

Proven experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members

Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
