Based in the northern suburbs of Perth, our client is a highly regarded manufacturer of industrial mining and processing equipment. By way of business growth and expansion, they now have an opportunity for an experienced WHSE Coordinator to join their growing team.

The Role:
As the WHSE Coordinator, you will be responsible for leading the ongoing development and improvement of workplace health, safety, and environmental systems, ensuring alignment with legislation, regulations, and internal frameworks. Your duties will include:
- Act as the main contact for WHSEQ matters, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and procedures
- Maintain safety systems and documentation, including incident, hazard, and quality registers, SDS, and reports
- Lead or support investigations and ensure timely close-out of corrective and preventative actions
- Deliver WHSEQ inductions and training; facilitate toolbox talks and safety committee meetings
- Conduct audits, inspections, and spot checks to verify compliance and drive improvements
- Support the review and updating of WHSEQ policies, procedures, and registers
- Collaborate with operations and project teams to integrate WHSEQ into planning and site activities
- Track and report on WHSEQ performance metrics; assist with admin and documentation as required
- Promote a positive, safety-first culture and continuous improvement across the business
Requirements:
To be successful for this position, you will have the following:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a WHSE coordination position, ideally within the mining and resources industry
- Certificate IV in Occupational Safety and Health (or equivalent)
- Well-developed planning, interpersonal, and organisational abilities
- Proven ability to build strong working relationships, provide sound WHSE advice, and handle confidential information with discretion
- Good understanding of the Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 and Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 (ideally)
- Current and valid driver’s licence
- Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia
