The firm work within Business Services, Corporate Finance (M&A) team, and a have dedicated Tax division.
Their client base is broad and sophisticated, reflecting a mid-tier standard, with a 50/50 advisory and compliance focus. Led by approachable Partners with an open-door policy, the firm embraces innovation, growth, and flexibility – offering a clear and genuine pathway to partnership.
About the Role
As a Business Services Manager, you'll take full ownership of a portfolio initially valued at around $700K in fees, with opportunities to scale up (current Senior Managers handle up to $2.4M). You’ll oversee a team, manage high-quality client relationships, and provide a mix of compliance and advisory services.
This is a key leadership role within one of the firm’s two Business Services teams and offers strong exposure to complex groups, tax planning, structuring, and strategic advisory.
Some of Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a client portfolio starting at $700K
- Review work prepared by intermediates and seniors
- Provide tax and business advisory to SME clients and high-net-worth groups
- Mentor and develop junior team members
- Liaise directly with clients, offering commercial and strategic advice
- Drive process improvement and contribute to innovation within the team
- Collaborate with internal tax and M&A teams where needed
Skills & Experience
- CA/CPA qualified
- 5+ years’ experience in Australian public practice
- Prior experience managing client relationships and reviewing files
- Strong knowledge of business services, tax compliance, and advisory
- Confident communicator with leadership capabilities
- Experience with Xero Practice Manager and/or APS Infinity ideal
- Looking for long-term growth with potential pathway to partnership
