You'll also become a go-to person for tax for clients working in an online experienced team.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Advisory

• Tax/business services consulting role around businesses, trusts, business groups

• Reviewing/preparing tax compliance/advisory for occasional complex tax scenarios - multinationals, high volume, consolidated groups, ESOPs

• Drive the firm's overall budgeted billing and lodgement targets, including actively scoping billing opportunities/clients and managing month-end WIP analysis and billing procedures

• Conduct accounting, taxation and business advisory research and technical advice work for clients

• Review & provide detailed feedback on other team member's work

• Being responsible for a portfolio

• Run team member performance evaluations and appraisals

Other

• Optional - VCFO advisory work - EOM reporting & commentary, updating cashflow forecasts, providing strategic advice.

• Help drive webinars and client/staff training, as well as assist with outward material.

• Support special projects, including due diligence, research and letters of advice.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-12 years' experience in Australian Public Practice Accounting firm/s, with 2+ in a supervisory role

• Relevant Degree Qualifications In Commerce, Accounting Or Similar

• Successful completion (or close to) of CA/CPA studies

• Excellent understanding of tax technical issues, as this role is based within the tax services team in business services - ideally consolidations, some international groups, restructures

• A values-based team supporter who is hardworking, motivated and enthusiastic about new technology

• Eager to support innovation in Australia as a key support for the founders making it happen

• Must be able to work from home and maintain a professional environment

• High speed internet access is a must

• Experience working with an online accounting team would be an asset.

• Experience with Xero Practice Manager will be highly regarded
