Key Responsibilities of the Role:

Provide friendly and professional front-line service, welcoming patients and ensuring a smooth and efficient check-in process.

Manage appointment bookings and scheduling to optimise patient flow and reduce wait times.

Accurately handle patient records in both paper and digital formats, ensuring confidentiality and that all information is up-to-date.

Handle billing procedures, including invoicing and understanding the Medical Benefits Schedule (MBS) for Diagnostic Imaging Services.

Deal with patient queries on the phone and by email, offering assistance as needed.

Collaborate closely with fellow staff members and medical professionals to support day-to-day operations and ensure high-quality patient care.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

Strong organisational and communication skills with a commitment to working effectively in a team environment.

Excellent presentation, with a friendly and approachable demeanor

A willingness to enhance skills and knowledge specific to Medical Imaging

Desired:

Previous experience in administration, medical reception or a similar role, although not necessary as training will be provided to ensure your success within the role.

Medical typing skills.

Basic knowledge of MBS

Experience with Kestral – Karisma RIS software
