About the Program
CatholicCare NT is a not-for-profit organisation, providing social services and programs to individuals, couples, families, children, groups, schools and agencies across the Northern Territory.
Our Housing Support Program has a tenancy sustainability focus. It aims to assist people experiencing or at risk of homelessness to sustain a tenancy or prevent eviction. Housing Support Services are delivered to participants in all types of rental accommodation, primarily those who reside in public housing or social and community housing.
The program implements a case management approach to break the cycle of homelessness through empowering participants to effectively problem solve and manage their situation long term. Our Assertive Outreach service aims to empower and build the capacity of young individuals (12 to 18 years) who are homeless and or at risk of homelessness. We achieve this with a muti-disciplinary harm minimisation approach to improve the young person’s circumstances and assist them to connect with services to address their complex needs and move towards independence. About the Role The Team Leader is responsible for the implementation, leadership and integration of the following programs: Housing Support Program and Assertive Outreach with a youth focus. This position has a particular focus on leading and mentoring a small team of program staff, applying professional knowledge and support for the delivery of a culturally appropriate, person-centred service whilst providing direct services and managing complex participant work. What we are looking for
Strong interpersonal and communication skills encompassing report writing, case note writing and the ability to communicate effectively with managers, staff and stakeholders across a range of diverse cultural groups and settings
Experience in recording and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data in line with program requirements and leading a team to do the same
Demonstrated cultural competency, particularly in working with Indigenous people
- Relevant qualification and minimum five year's experience in relevant practice and team leadership
