Direct Solutions is a leading national provider of occupational rehabilitation and case management services, with over 30 years of experience supporting veterans through their transition from military to civilian life.
In addition to veteran rehabilitation, Direct Solutions delivers a range of services across multiple jurisdictions, including SIRA-based work in New South Wales and a dedicated Household Services department within the DVA portfolio.
We are seeking a dedicated Team Manager to oversee and support our consultants working within the DVA portfolio. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of DVA services, and a passion for achieving quality outcomes for veterans and serving members.
The Role
As the Team Manager – DVA Portfolio, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the day-to-day performance and workload of DVA consultants.
Conducting regular file reviews and providing clinical guidance on complex cases.
Supporting consultants through mentoring, coaching, and professional development.
Leading induction, onboarding, and training for new consultants.
Engaging with DVA, external organisations, and internal stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.
Ensuring compliance with QA standards, DVA guidelines, and industry best practices.
Monitoring service delivery and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Maintaining a small caseload of veterans or serving members as required.
About You
Extensive experience in occupational rehabilitation, particularly with DVA clients.
Strong understanding of DVA rehabilitation programs, case management requirements, and compliance standards.
Demonstrated ability to support clients with complex medical, psychosocial, and vocational needs.
Familiarity with the Wellbeing Support Program (WASP) and Veteran Rehabilitation Services.
Previous leadership or team supervision experience, with the ability to motivate and support others.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
A genuine passion for supporting veterans and achieving client-focused outcomes.
Qualifications & HR Requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant health discipline such as Rehabilitation Counselling, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Exercise Physiology, or Physiotherapy.
Registration with a recognised governing body – ASORC, AHPRA, or ESSA (as applicable to your profession).
Comcare registration.
Current National Police Check.
Mental Health First Aid certification (or willingness to complete during onboarding).
