About the role

This is a permanent full-time position within a purpose-driven team. The primary responsibility for the Regional Team Leader (RTL) is to manage the regional advocacy and outreach function and team to ensure regional and remote clients receive high quality and effective services that are responsive to their needs. The RTL is responsible for the service delivery, caseload growth and management, performance and viability of Advocare’s work in the regions.

Note: We welcome applications from Perth or regional WA. The role can be performed from our Perth Head office at Victoria Park or in one of WA’s larger regional centres including Broome, Kununurra, Geraldton, Bunbury, Albany, Kalgoorlie or surrounds. Regardless of location, quarterly regional travel will be required to meet with your team and key stakeholders face to face.

We are searching for someone who can meet the following essential work-related requirements:

To be considered for this role, your cover letter must address the essential work-related requirements. Applications that do not address these will not progress to the next stage.

Proven leadership and management skills, with a focus on fostering an inclusive and supportive environment whilst monitoring, driving performance and providing direction.

Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering community services at a state-wide level, with experience of living and working in rural or remote area

Knowledge and experience of challenges faced by rural and remote areas.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to be able to advocate, facilitate, negotiate, influence, mediate and develop effective workplace relationships with clients and other stakeholders.

Detailed knowledge of the operations of My Aged Care, Commonwealth Home Support program, Home Care packages and residential aged care.

Experience delivering or managing programs that provide holistic and trauma informed care or practice.

Knowledge of other client support services (such as Housing/ Tenancy, Mental Health and Legal support services).

Strong computer literacy and experience using an electronic Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database system.

Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities.

Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
