Role requirements

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable processes.
• Familiarity with the TechOne ERP system.
• Tertiary qualification in business, commerce, law or procurement.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Local Government Act and the requirements therein relating to Procurement.

Role responsibilities:

• Undertake and manage the Request for Quotation, Tendering and Contracting processes.
• Maintain appropriate registers to support reporting and analysis needs.
• Provide reporting to stakeholders as needed to support analysis, prioritisation and decision making.
• Provide advice of contract management to the rest of the business.
• Oversee the Purchase Order business process across the organisation – including the raising of Requisitions and receipting for goods and services.
• Oversee the overall Purchase Card function – including reviewing applications for Purchase Cards, and the set-up and maintenance of Cards in the system.
• Monitor Purchase Card usage for compliance with organisational policies and take action to address issues and opportunities.
• Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable processes.
• Oversee financial compliance processes relating to the Accounts Payable function.
• Perform EFT, cheque payment and cash handling reviews and authorisations.
• Oversee, check, and approve end of month reports and reconciliations.
• Perform reporting and analysis on the Accounts Payable function to facilitate improvements in organisational invoice handling processes.
• Develop, review and update policies, procedures and work instructions as needed to support the efficiency and effectiveness of each function.
• Work collaboratively with other members of the Financial Services Leadership team for effective delivery of financial services to the organisation.
• Prepare reports for Management and Council.
• Other duties as directed by your line manager.
