About the role

We're seeking a proactive and hands-on HR & WHS Officer to join a growing organisation during an exciting period of transformation. With a $2m office fit-out underway to brand-new premises in Heathwood in January, this role will be key in supporting both the HR and safety agenda.

You'll be responsible for a mix of 70% HR and 30% WHS, working closely with the leadership team to maintain a positive, people-first culture while strengthening compliance and safety practices.

Day-to-day, you'll:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment across a variety of roles
• Oversee HRIS, including training matrix, monthly courses, and reporting
• Handle incident reports, return-to-work processes, and WHS compliance
• Create and update SOPs, policies, and organisational charts
• Support employee engagement initiatives - from milestone celebrations to cultural events
• Provide HR reporting and insights to management
• Research legislation and contribute to continuous process improvements

This is a broad role with plenty of variety, autonomy, and scope to make a real impact.

About you

We're looking for someone who is self-sufficient, adaptable, and enjoys owning their role from end to end. You'll bring:

• Proven experience in HR, with exposure to WHS responsibilities
• Confidence in managing recruitment, policies, and HRIS systems
• Knowledge of WHS processes and a willingness to build more structure in this space
• Strong communication skills
• A solutions-focused, practical mindset with the ability to balance compliance and culture
• Energy, initiative, and the drive to "get stuck in" wherever needed
