National Workforce is currently seeking an experienced and reliable Maintenance Fitter to join our client, a leading Resource Recycling and Manufacturing company based in Laverton.

This role is hands-on, working in a dusty and noisy recycling environment, where you'll play a key part in keeping plant and equipment running efficiently and safely.

About the Role

We're looking for a Maintenance Fitter with experience in diesel mechanics, mechanical fitting, fitting & turning, or similar trades. The position involves a wide range of maintenance tasks, including bearing replacement, general welding, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance to support site operations.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out routine maintenance and inspections on plant and equipment.

Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.

Identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

Perform repairs and modifications to minimize downtime.

Collaborate with the maintenance team to optimize performance.

Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives.

Communicate effectively with team members and other departments.

Work collaboratively to maintain a safe, positive, and productive workplace.

What We're Looking For

Trade qualification as a Fitter, Fitter & Turner, Diesel Mechanic, or similar.

Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience.

Ability to complete welding, fitting, and equipment repair tasks.

Availability for day shifts, 8-12 hours daily, with flexibility as required.
