The Accounts Payable Officer is a member of the Accounts Payable team and is responsible for all aspects of Council’s purchase to pay systems and processes including; supplier, creditor and requisition maintenance and processing to facilitate the smooth and efficient delivery of accounts payable services from purchase order through to invoice payment. Other accountabilities include:
Providing internal and supplier / creditor accounts payable related customer service
Accounts payable systems administration and configuration including user set up and access
Support internal customer requisitioning practice improvement to optimise efficiency
Invoice and credit processing in accounts payable systems
Pcard processing
Process new supplier applications and set up
Support and contribute to accounts payable procedure reviews and updates
Support staff knowledge and compliance to accounts payable systems, procedures and policies

You will also have:
Certificate qualifications in finance or equivalent experience in a similar purchase to pay, finance, accounts payable or procurement officer position
Demonstrated commitment to providing customer service excellence
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to work effectively and professionally in a team environment
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Competitive salary from $71,565 to $83,170 per annum plus 12 per cent superannuation
35-hours per week on nine-day fortnight
