Your Role:

As our Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates while ensuring our pricing aligns with company margins.

Your role will include:

Overseeing the preparation of utilities, HV and industrial infrastructure projects valued between $1m – $100 million

Collaborating with project teams to ensure accurate and achievable cost estimations for large-scale electrical work

Collaborating with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing

Identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and profitability

Pre-tender site visits

Working closely with our Operations Team to develop winning proposals

Preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for commercial and industrial projects

Reviewing project specifications, plans, and requirements to identify materials, labour, and costs

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to gather and verify project details

Utilising estimating software and tools to create detailed cost analyses

Providing guidance to clients on budget considerations and project feasibility

Ensuring estimates align with industry standards and company objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience as an electrical estimator

Exposure to one or more of the below categories of Electrical works and a strong technical understanding of

Private High Voltage Networks

Low Voltage Networks

Outdoor Substation constructions

Utility Scale Renewable Energy Systems – Wind, Solar, BESS & Hybrid

Communications & SCADA Infrastructure

Overhead and Underground Electrical Systems

Specialist High Voltage Testing and Maintenance

Operation & Maintenance Contracts.

Experience in building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders within the industry, clients, suppliers and subcontractors

Proficient with estimating software (Fast Track desirable)

Strong process orientation with excellent attention to details ensuring accurate cost estimates and documentation

Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects adhering to deadlines and budget constraints

Strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of project lifecycle, from tender preparation through to successful delivery and handover

Electrical trade or engineering qualifications (desirable)

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry standards

Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
