With robust systems, clear leadership, and a well-defined project pipeline, they’re now seeking a Lead Estimator to take full ownership of the estimating function and help shape the future growth of the business.

The Role

• Lead full tender lifecycle from initial enquiry to submission and handover
• Interpret drawings, specs, and site conditions to produce accurate, competitive pricing
• Engage directly with clients and consultants throughout the Pre-Con phase
• Maintain and grow a strong subcontractor and supplier network across SE QLD
• Conduct trade breakups and scope reviews to identify value opportunities
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with D&C methodology
• Lead margin improvement and value-engineering initiatives
• Support design management and early trade lettings
• Ensure seamless handover into delivery with detailed documentation and communication

The Person

• QS/Cost planning Background is essential
• Understanding of design principals and able to rationalise projects to achieve Client & Cost driven outcomes.
• Ideally completed a cadetship with a Quantity Surveying firm before moving into builder-side Estimating
• Proficient with CostX and strong general computer literacy
• 3+ years in Estimating or QS, with solid exposure to Townhouse projects
• Commercial, Industrial or Multi-Resi experience highly regarded
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Strategic thinker, self-starter, and executor, able to work autonomously
• Long-term view, this role is a pathway to Pre-Con Manager

The Package

• $130,000 to $150,000 + Super
• Immediate interview and onboarding (pending notice period)
• Progression plan to Pre-Con Manager as the current Pre-Con lead transitions into a GM role.
