Motel Management Team of Two – Exciting renovation ahead for the Abbotsleigh Motor Inn – Armidale, NSW
A rare opportunity awaits an experienced professional team of two to manage a motel on the brink of an exciting new chapter.
Over the next 6–12 months, the Abbotsleigh Motor Inn will undergo a complete renovation. While you won’t be swinging a hammer, you will be the warm, professional presence ensuring guests are well looked after during this period — and then take the reins of a newly revitalised, modern property.

Required skills/qualifications
Proven motel management experience
Passion and the motivation to assist in the revitalisation of a once-thriving motel
High standard of interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate and build rapport with the existing team and your guests
High level of computer proficiency including Microsoft suite and Xero or similar
Working knowledge of Property Management Systems such as GuestPoint and SiteMinder as well as online agencies including Booking.com and Expedia
Current National Police check
First Aid certificate
Key Accountabilities
Live onsite, work weekends and public holidays
Maintain a professional working relationship with the owners
Hands-on management role required to undertake all daily motel operations including but not limited to:
Reception including guest meet and greet, bookings, enquiries and assistance
Administration:
Respond to guest feedback
Regularly monitoring, and adjusting room rates in response to local events in liaison with owners
Team management including rostering
Strip and restock rooms in preparation for housekeepers
Laundry of all towelling (linen ordered in)
Ordering and stock take including inventory management
Undertake basic room maintenance as required
Grounds and garden maintenance to ensure property appealing from the outside
