The Role
We are looking for an M&A Associate to join a high-performing boutique advisory firm based in Sydney CBD. This is a rare opportunity to step into a role offering full exposure to end-to-end transactions across buy-side, sell-side, and capital raises, working directly with ambitious founder-led businesses.

Our client is a boutique corporate advisory practice focused on the small-to-mid market ($10m-$80m deal size). They combine the rigour of top-tier M&A execution with the agility of a boutique environment, offering their people the chance to make a real impact. The culture is collaborative, flexible, and supportive, with Associates given responsibility and client exposure far beyond what's typical in larger firms.

What You'll Do

• Support and manage transactions from start to finish.
• Build and maintain financial models, forecasts, and valuations.
• Draft key transaction documents including information memorandums, teasers, and pitch decks.
• Conduct detailed market and industry research.
• Work directly with founders and senior team members to deliver successful outcomes.
• Contribute to business development and support the growth of the practice.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5+ years' experience in M&A, Corporate Finance, or Lead Advisory (Big 4, mid-tier, boutique, or corporate development).
• CA/CPA qualified (or close to completion).
• Strong financial modelling and presentation skills.
• High attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commercial mindset with the ability to manage fast-moving, founder-led deals.
