A client facing role for an engaging architect to work closely with a range of clients, stakeholders and consultants on early stages of projects, influence design decisions, support project feasibilities and provide technical insight. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both modular and traditional construction methods.

The right candidate will bridge the gap between architectural ambition and construction reality. Your ability to anticipate project constraints, resolve design challenges, and communicate value will be central to securing work and enhancing our client’s brand as a builder of choice for design-led projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead architectural conversations in earliest project stages

Contribute to the successful growth of this innovative company

Lead early stages of $10- $20M projects

Provide thought leadership in early design and master planning phases to shape project direction and feasibility.

Contribute to an innovative business with a passion for design-led modular construction

Adapt design communication and technical strategies based on sector-specific expectations especially for Education, Public Facilities, Defence, and premium commercial clients

Some travel required but this is balanced by a very flexible work pattern including WFH arrangements

Skills and Experience

NSW Registered Architect preferred

Additional qualifications in project management or construction beneficial

Minimum 10 years of experience in Senior Architect or Associate-level roles within reputable
architectural or design-led D&C practices

Demonstrated involvement in securing and delivering $10–20M+ high-quality education, defence, or commercial projects

Proven experience engaging with clients, consultants, and institutional stakeholders during early design and pre-construction phases.

Comprehensive understanding of architectural design, modular construction, and integrated D&C delivery methods.

Familiarity with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), planning processes, and regulatory requirements relevant to institutional and commercial projects.

Expertise in design development, detailing, buildability, and value engineering principles.

Ability to critique and contribute to early design stages with authority, aligning architectural intent with construction methodologies.

Proficient in BIM platforms (e.g., Revit) and experienced in design documentation review,
coordination, and consultant management

Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence design outcomes and project direction.

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to work-winning strategies through design-led value propositions.

Ability to anticipate client needs, shape project briefs, and advocate for innovative construction outcomes.
