Hanlon Industries
Posted 2 days ago
Hanlon Industries is a proudly independent Australian company specialising in steel fabrication, construction, and industrial services. With operations across Victoria, Queensland, New South Wales, and projects in New Zealand, we’re known for delivering quality, safety, innovation, and community impact.
We’re looking for a commercially minded and detail-driven FP&A Manager / Senior Management Accountant to lead forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling across our growing multi-entity business. This is a pivotal role with real impact, helping shape how the company makes decisions as we continue to expand across Australasia.
What You’ll Do
Lead group-wide budgeting and forecasting — annual cycles, rolling forecasts, and scenario planning across all entities and property trusts.
Build and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives (new operations, capital investment, land acquisition, and multi-entity performance).
Partner with operations, estimating, and project teams to review project costing, WIP, margins, and profitability.
Deliver high-quality board and executive reports — variance commentary, risk insights, and trend analysis.
Develop and manage real-time financial dashboards tracking KPIs, cash flow, profitability, and project performance.
Support funding, banking, and investment presentations with clear modelling and analysis.
Drive improvements in financial systems (ERP, Power BI, Workbench, Sharperlight) to streamline reporting.
Act as a trusted business partner, translating numbers into insights that power better decisions.
What You’ll Bring
CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent).
3+ years’ experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting.
Advanced Excel modelling and analytical skills.
Experience across construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries (ideal).
Ability to prepare clear, confident reports for board and executive audiences.
Knowledge of ERP systems and reporting tools like Power BI, Sharperlight, or Workbench.
Solid grasp of job costing, WIP reporting, and margin analysis.
Strong communicator with a commercial mindset and problem-solving attitude.
Why Join Hanlon Industries?
Flexibility that works for you — hybrid options and a choice of Geelong (VIC) or Narangba (QLD) bases.
High-impact role — your insights directly influence strategy, growth, and decision-making at board level.
Collaborative culture — work with a supportive, experienced leadership team in an environment that values initiative and integrity.
Room to innovate — help shape financial systems, tools, and processes to make your mark on how we scale.
If you’re looking for a role with real impact, flexibility, and growth opportunities — Hanlon is where your next big move starts. Apply now and let’s build something great together.
