Our client is large Utilities provider situated in Melbourne's CBD, and an instantly recognisable brand within the market.

Due to some movement within the team they are seeking a talented Senior Management Accountant to join the team. With ownership of key reporting requirements, managing a junior member of staff and working into the business as a key partner to the Business Partnering team and operational stakeholders, this is a fantastic growth opportunity for a growing Management Accountant or experienced professional.

*Please note that whilst there is Hybrid Work-from-home flexibility, this position is strictly full-time permanent.

The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will:

• Deliver high-quality management reporting requirements across TOTEX and Cashflow.
• Lead reporting cycles, ensuring that Group Management & Performance Reporting provides clear insights and commentary.
• Take ownership of Labour transactions, forecasting and reviewing processes to assist the Business Partnering team and broader business to forecast requirements.
• Partner closely with key stakeholders, including Operational leads, to provide clear insights for strategic initiatives.
• Manage a junior member of staff, providing profession growth and support to develop their skillset.
• Assist in developing best-practice processes, identifying inefficiencies and helping to optimise the finance function.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this position you should have:

• CA/CPA-Qualification, or equivalent.
• Dedicated experience in managing month-end processes, journal postings and management reports.
• Strong analytical skills, and the ability to provide clear, data-driven insights to senior leaders.
• Confidence liaising with diverse stakeholders, including non-finance leads, to provide strategic partnership and assistance.
• Ability to work with junior members of staff, providing mentorship and development of their skillset.
