We offer a full-time, multi-year secondary education program designed to meet the diverse needs of young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Our campuses offer tailored programs that integrate wellbeing and education, ensuring young people receive the support they need to thrive. We work closely with families, community organisations, and support services to provide wraparound care that addresses both educational and personal development needs.

Young people come from diverse backgrounds and often face a significant and complex range of educational, social, developmental, psychological, health, legal barriers to learning which require unique interventions. Our approach is grounded in the Operation By Principles framework, which combines education with an understanding of trauma-informed practices.

The Role

The Child Safeguarding Lead is responsible for supporting Saints College North Melbourne to implement and lead a range of child safeguarding initiatives and responses. The role is integral to ensuring that students feel safe and supported, and that the school meets their commitments in relation to protecting children from harm. The role will report to the Senior Manager Child Safeguarding. This is a 2-year fixed term contract. The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $125,000 (depending on education and experience).

Salary will be based on qualifications and experience.

You will need

Tertiary teaching qualification

Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration

Previous experience and/or qualifications relevant to supporting and/or leading an organisations commitment to being a child safe organisation

The ability to inspire and engage young people

Be willing to support young people and our team members to reach their potential
