About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Senior Windows Infrastructure Engineer to join a federal government team delivering critical ICT services to support national programs and operations. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, enjoys solving technical challenges, and can balance project delivery with operational stability.
In this role, you’ll be a key member of the infrastructure operations group, responsible for ensuring the department’s Windows environments remain secure, reliable, and optimised. You’ll work across a mix of project-based initiatives and ongoing support, collaborating with technical specialists to enhance systems, improve performance, and strengthen cyber resilience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Drive the implementation of new infrastructure solutions and upgrades to improve service capability.
• Apply robust security practices across platforms, including vulnerability management, device control, and application whitelisting.
• Monitor and maintain systems using Microsoft System Centre and Intune, ensuring timely updates and patch compliance.
• Administer and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, PKI, ADFS, file/print services, DFS, and Group Policy.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, escalating where necessary to ensure minimal service disruption.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operational procedures and design records.
• Work closely with other ICT teams to deliver seamless, efficient, and secure services.
