About this position
This role supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of programs and events under the supervision of the Seniors Development Officer.
Some core tasks include:
Providing input into the Seniors 55+ Quarterly Activities Brochure
Collaborating on initiatives that enrich the lives of seniors
Developing and maintaining effective relationships across departments, with service providers, government agencies, and community groups
Supervising service delivery, including after-hours support and day-to-day operations, with guidance from the supervisor
This position is based at Addie Mills Centre in Gosnells.
The preferred candidate will be available to work Thursdays and Fridays, with flexibility for an additional weekday and occasional weekend events.
What we are looking for
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
The ability and experience in coordinating community programs for seniors or relevant customer base.
Highly developed verbal and written skills and ability to provide information that is correct, factual and timely.
Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise competing demands.
The ability to work effectively as a member of a small team, exercising initiative and judgment whilst working with minimal supervision.
Essential requirements
Current Driver’s licence
First Aid Qualification
Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role but will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
Desirable role requirements
Certificate IV in Community Services/Aged Care or relevant tertiary qualifications.
Aged care and senior services knowledge.
