About the Role:

We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate and experienced male Support Worker (as per client’s requirement) to join our team in providing one-on-one support to a male client with complex behaviours on a fortnightly weekend basis.

You will work closely with a client who requires consistent, trauma-informed and person-centred care. The role involves providing daily living support, emotional regulation, community access and behaviour support aligned with a comprehensive behaviour support plan.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, consistent support in line with the client's behaviour support plan

Support with personal care, daily routines and community engagement

Maintain clear, professional documentation and incident reporting

Communicate effectively with the broader care team and stakeholders

Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviours

Essential Requirements:

Minimum 2 years' experience working with individuals with complex behaviours

Relevant qualifications in Disability, Community Services, or related field

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current First Aid & CPR certificate

Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle

Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and trauma-informed practice

Proven ability to manage and de-escalate high-stress situations calmly

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Desirable:

MAPA/PMAV or other behaviour intervention training

Experience with mental health, autism spectrum disorder or intellectual disability
