We are seeking mature, calm and compassionate Support Workers to support a young male Client located in Laidley North.
Our Client enjoys going for drives through tunnels and exploring new locations with plenty to see. He requires support with being picked up from his day program and assisted in settling into his evening routine. He responds well to patient and emotionally mature Support Workers who can gently redirect and de-escalate challenging behaviours when they arise. Experience with Autism is preferred for this role.
Shifts Available:
Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Every second Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Opportunity for increased hours during the week
Role Requirements:
Engage in calming and enjoyable activities with the Client.
Experience with Autism and behavioural support preferred.
Use positive behaviour support strategies.
Maintain a safe and respectful environment.
Use of own vehicle for community access (must have comprehensive insurance and a valid driver’s licence).

It's not all on you though, as you will have support in this via a dedicated QSSS Support Specialist as well as training provided by experiences Support Workers and a Behavioural Support Practitioner who can assist you in ensuring you are absolutely set up to have an awesome time with this person.
QSSS hourly rates are Weekday $35.66, Evening $38.30, Night $39.33, Saturday $48.65, Sunday $62.62, Public Holidays $76.38 - (sorry, rate not negotiable).
We also support our staff through our EAP service which offers 4 x free counselling sessions where required, as well as discounted physiotherapy sessions at select physio practices while also having the assurance of consistency of Clients you support. You have a comprehensive suite of online learning to support you and face to face learnings.

Your key responsibilities & accountabilities:
To deliver high quality support to our Clients in the capacity they require, the exact way they would like it delivered
Communicate effectively and collaborate for our Clients needs with our Clients, team & Support Specialist
Understand, follow instructions, and be responsive to our Client’s needs
Provide support to our Clients as required
Have good rapport building skills and a gentle, encouraging manner
Be reliable and flexible to fill shifts when required
Have an interest in building a respectful relationship with our Clients
To support our Clients to achieve their NDIS Goals
To be successful you must:
Resonate with the role description above
Have a genuine desire to positively change people's lives
Have evidence of eligibility and right to work in Australia
Hold or be willing to obtain NDIS worker screening or yellow card
Hold or be willing to obtain a blue card
