Position Overview:

The Senior Civil Estimator will manage the estimation process for civil construction projects, ensuring accurate cost assessments, risk analysis, and competitive pricing strategies. This role requires strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the estimation process for civil construction projects from concept to completion.

Analyse project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope and cost estimates.

Develop detailed quantity take-offs and cost breakdowns for labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

Identify potential risks and provide value engineering solutions.

Prepare and present bid proposals, ensuring accuracy and competitiveness.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to refine estimates and address project requirements.

Research market trends, pricing, and supplier costs to ensure competitive estimates.

Maintain and update a database of cost information, historical data, and pricing trends.

Participate in pre-bid meetings, client negotiations, and project handover processes.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction estimating.

Proficiency in estimating software such as MudShark, Cubit, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, etc.

Strong understanding of civil construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.

Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.

Ability to interpret construction drawings, contracts, and technical specifications.

Proven experience in leading bid processes and working with subcontractors and suppliers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.

Ability to provide a turnkey solution, managing the entire tendering process from receipt of the tender package to successful project award

Expert in ensuring seamless execution of document preparation, cost estimation, risk assessment, compliance checks, and strategic bid submission.
