Warehouse Lead
My client is a well established company within a sensitive area of the medical technology world.
They are looking for a star performing Warehouse supervisor or lead to take over from a long standing member of the team who is retiring.
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including the safe, efficient, and compliant handling of goods.
The role includes supervising 2-3 staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring GMP compliance, and contributing to the centralization of warehouse operations.
A key part of this role will be warehouse intergration.
The role is carried out over a 38 hour week, day time hours.
Reporting into the Head of the Division, in charge of supply chain.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Supervise daily warehouse tasks (receiving, storage, dispatch).
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and internal policies.
Lead and motivate the warehouse team to meet performance goals.
Inventory & Stock Control:
Manage stock levels and rotation, especially for GMP-critical items.
Conduct regular cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.
Maintain compliance with TGA and pharmacy standards.
Cross-Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with supply chain, QA, sales, and logistics to ensure timely and accurate dispatch.
Process Improvement:
Drive warehouse system and process improvements for efficiency and cost savings.
Support the consolidation of multiple warehouses into a central hub.
People Management:
Train, develop, and manage warehouse staff.
Oversee rosters, workloads, and performance reviews.
Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure documentation meets GMP and TGA standards.
Handle dangerous and temperature-sensitive goods properly.
Report on warehouse KPIs and logistics metrics.
Requirements:
Essential:
3+ years in warehouse/logistics within a regulated industry (e.g. pharma, medical devices).
Leadership or supervisory experience.
Proficient in SAP B1 and Microsoft Office.
Experience with dangerous goods and time-sensitive logistics.
Preferred:
Strong inventory control and dispatch knowledge.
High attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Proven leadership and continuous improvement mindset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Adaptable and proactive approach.
