Tenure: Fixed-term (Until 30 June 2029), Full-time)
Location: Kensington, Western Australia
This role is responsible for administering the Healthy Oceans Program (Program) marine ecosystem restoration grants scheme. It ensures appropriate governance and acquittal of Program funds and that projects are conducted in accordance with approved activities. The role includes developing and implementing project agreements with grant recipients, assisting applicants to identify regulatory requirements and working with DBCA officers to expedite regulatory approvals. The Program’s Project Officer also supports the project review and assessment panel and provides a single point of contact for grant applicants, grantees and program partners.

Selection Criteria
- Experience leading conservation or natural resource management projects (ESSENTIAL) for conservation of benthic marine ecosystems (DESIRABLE).
- Ability to source and synthesise complex scientific, regulatory or project management information to provide clear and informed advice.
- Experience in preparation of reports, grant proposals, management plans or other technical documents relating to conservation and natural resource management (ESSENTIAL) for conservation and management of marine ecosystems (DESIRABLE).
- Proven ability to effectively manage budgets.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
