Holyoake is a leading provider of counselling and support services for people impacted directly and indirectly by alcohol, other drugs, and related mental health issues. We operate through five locations in Victoria Park, Midland, Northam, Narrogin and Merredin, and employ over 100 staff.

We are currently recruiting for a Client Services Officer on a fixed term contract to 31 January 2026 to assist with sourcing and assessing the intake of clients from referral services. This position will be responsible for monitoring of client enquiries, ensuring that they are responded to in a timely manner with clarity.

Key responsibilities:

Monitor clinical diaries to ensure adequate availability for new bookings

Stand in for duty clinicians as required and undertake duty responsibilities including:

Responding to client enquiries

Administering the screening tool to assess client suitability for supports

Provide information on relevant services available via Holyoake and other agencies

For clients who decide to engage with Holyoake, schedule an initial appointment with an appropriate counsellor for the required service.

In circumstances where risk is identified, undertake a risk assessment in consultation/ conjunction with senior clinical staff

Undertake follow-up as recommended via the Intake team meeting

Provide support to clients on the waitlist as required

Complete documentation relevant to the discussion.

Monitor the services waitlist and provide regular status updates to clinical managers

Ensure intake and duty procedural documentation and referral resources are current and effective

Search, record, update and maintain client information on Holyoake’s Client Management database relevant to the role

Respond to high level requests for information such as subpoena’s and other legal requests, coroners requests, WAPOL requests and other high level requests for information across Holyoake

Monitor, record, maintain a register and report on all high level requests for information

Support the quality and systems functions with data collection, analysis, internal audit and reporting as required.

Provide system reports and statistics from Holyoake’s Client Management databases on client enquiries, intake processes, waitlist management and duty effectiveness as required.

Skills required:

Demonstrated understanding of evidence-based AOD models and theories

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

Sound communication skills including the ability to produce written reports

Sound time management, organisational and prioritising skills

Ability to work non-judgmentally with a diverse client base

Criteria for successful applicants:

Demonstrated experience working in a similar role

(Desirable) Completed or significant progress toward completion in a post-secondary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work or other relevant field

National Police Clearance, no more than three months old

Current WA Driver’s Licence
