Marngarr Resource Centre Aboriginal Corporation (Marngarr) is the non-profit division of the broader Gumatj Group. Our role is to deliver essential services and develop sustainable enterprises within the community of Gunyangara which support the wellbeing and empowerment of individuals, families and broader Gumatj and Yolngu community.
Gumatj people are the Traditional Owners of the Gunyangara community and various homelands throughout the Gove Peninsula. Gunyangara is located 15min from the township of Nhulunbuy.

The Position:
Marngarr is looking for a talented and driven individual to lead the development of our property and housing division. This role will be responsible for delivering high quality, end to end tenancy and property management across our portfolio of houses, including a mix of public/social, employee, residential and commercial properties.
Additionally, Marngarr manages the Tenancy Management Support Services contract for Northern Territory Government’s public houses in Gunyangara. This contract also includes the development and delivery of the NT’s Living Strong program for Gunyangara.
The Role:
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role will include:
- End to end Property and Tenancy Management of our diverse portfolio of properties
- Lead, train and develop a team of Yolngu Community Housing Officers
- Develop and maintain effective administrative systems and processes
- Management of commercial accommodation facilities available for short-term stays
- Ensure all compliance requirements are met in accordance with NT legislation and internal policies
- Support the strategic development and improvement of housing for the Gunyangara community
- Develop and deliver Tenancy Management Support Service and Living Strong program for Gunyangara Housing
- Form working relationships with various external stakeholders and community service providers to support community members
- Ensure all properties are effectively maintained and drive positive housing outcomes for tenants
What we Offer:
- Salary between $85,000 to $95,000 + Super
- NFP organisation with excellent salary packaging benefits

Experience Required:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Property Manager and/or agent
- Certificate/Diploma in Property and/or Real Estate
- Up to date with relevant legislation and compliance standards in the Northern Territory
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Significant experience engaging and working with First Nations communities to identify needs, implement programs and services, and build capacity
- Demonstrated ability to lead, support and manage dynamic and diverse teams
- Working with Children’s Check (NT – Ochre Card); Full Driver’s License
