Are you an organised, proactive, and people-focused administrator who thrives in a fast-paced environment?

The Land’s Edge Foundation is one of Australia’s leading outdoor education providers, delivering transformative programs that connect young people with themselves, others, and the natural world. We're seeking a People & Staffing Coordinator to join our team on a 16-month Parental Leave contract.

In this critical role, you'll coordinate and support the casual workforce that delivers Land’s Edge programs across NSW. You’ll be the first point of contact for all casual staffing enquiries and play a vital role in recruitment, onboarding, rostering, communication, and staff wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

General Administration

Be the go-to contact for all casual staffing-related enquiries

Keep casual staff informed about programs, updates, and other staffing developments

Support payroll and HR processes alongside the People Manager

Contribute to general office support and ad-hoc operational needs

Staffing Coordination

Plan and coordinate staffing for outdoor education programs across NSW

Liaise with Program Coordinators to identify staffing needs and assign casual and fixed-term staff appropriately

Maintain staffing systems including foundU and Master Staffing

Ensure staff are appropriately qualified, inducted and supported before, during and after programs

Manage last-minute changes and staffing solutions with a calm, optimistic attitude

Recruitment & Onboarding

Assist with recruitment campaigns, social media ads and interviews

Assist with coordinating onboarding of new casual staff

Build and maintain relationships with hiring partners in Australia and overseas

Rostering & Timesheets

Roster staff shifts based on program requirements

Follow up on timesheet approvals and ensure timely payroll submissions

Logistics & Communication

Coordinate transport and accommodation for staff

Communicate regularly with casual team members regarding offers, logistics and support needs

Act as the first point of contact for casual staff concerns, ensuring resolution or escalation where appropriate

Wellbeing & Support

Contribute to staff wellbeing initiatives and support a positive workplace culture

Participate in the on-call staffing roster as required

About You

Experience in workforce coordination, HR, or administration

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills

Highly organised and systems-oriented

Able to juggle competing priorities and think on your feet

A team player who enjoys working in a values-driven organisation

Familiarity with foundU or similar HR/payroll systems (desirable)

Knowledge of outdoor education or casual staffing models (a bonus but not essential)

Salary will be in accordance with our Enterprise Agreement, aligned to the relevant classification and pay point based on your skills and experience.
