Office Manager – Small Business Leadership Role
Part-time – 25 hours/week – Flexible Hours – Maternity Leave Contract

We’re looking for an experienced Office / Operations Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day running of our business. This is a leadership position for someone who thrives on responsibility, enjoys improving processes, and can keep a team and projects moving forward.

Who We Are – Round 2 Timbers (R2T)
We’re a small but passionate team specializing in recycled and reclaimed timber products — from stunning benchtops and vanities to screening, decking, and unique custom projects. Sustainability is at the heart of what we do, and we pride ourselves on craftsmanship, resourcefulness, and turning beautiful reclaimed timber into something new. Our workshop is based in Hamilton North and we work closely with builders, designers, and the local community.
About the Role
In this hands-on, varied role, you’ll:
Oversee day-to-day business operations and workflow
Manage financial processes – quoting, invoicing, basic bookkeeping, and budget oversight
Plan workloads, delegate tasks, and coordinate team schedules
Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and contractors
Oversee social media content and engagement
Ensure jobs are completed on time, on budget, and to a high standard
Gain and apply knowledge of timber products, sizes, and terminology (experience preferred, but training provided)
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
Previous leadership experience in operations, office management, or similar
Strong financial management and organisational skills
Confidence in people management – planning, delegating, and motivating
Experience with social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram)
Xero experience (preferred but not essential)
Timber or building industry knowledge (preferred, or willingness to learn)
The ability to work independently and take full ownership of the role
