About the role

COMM-ENG P/L' is seeking an experienced Data Cabling Technician to join our team in our Melbourne, VIC 3000 office. This full-time role will be responsible for installing and maintaining data cabling infrastructure to meet the needs of our clients.

What you'll be doing

Install data cabling, including structured cabling, fibre optic and wireless network infrastructure

Perform maintenance and repairs on existing data cabling systems

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with data cabling and network connectivity

Maintain detailed documentation and records of all cabling work performed

Provide excellent customer service and support to clients

Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to deliver projects on time and to specification

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Data Cabling Technician or similar role

Strong technical knowledge of data cabling standards, protocols and equipment

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Good communication and customer service skills

Relevant technical certifications or qualifications
