Brisbane Genetics is a well-established specialist practice that provides access to new advances in genetic testing. Providing comprehensive genetic services, including evaluation, diagnosis, counselling and management of genetic and congenital conditions

This is a permanent part-time position (24 hours) per week to be worked three days a week from 8am to 4.30pm. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Flexibility around work hours may be required from time to time.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Day to day running of the reception and clinics.

Welcoming patients, scheduling appointments, invoicing and receipting payments.

Ability to manage telephone calls, assist patients with general inquiries and respond to email enquiries.

Processing new patient referrals and able to triage patient appointments.

General administration - scanning, importing documents.

Skills and Experience:

Previous medical reception experience is required, preferably within a specialist setting.

Good working knowledge of Gentu software and Medical Objects.

Competency in medical terminology.

Meticulous attention to management of patient data, records and correspondence.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

Possession of a compassionate, empathetic and warm professional manner, with absolute discretion at all times.

An ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding all patient and practice matters.

Strong work ethic - self-motivated, practical, takes pride in their work, able to work without supervision and in a fast-paced environment.
