Medical Receptionist

We are a Private Specialist referral based practice, based in Sydney CBD and Miranda (Sutherland Shire). We seek an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our long standing, friendly and motivated team. The successful applicant will have excellent administrative skills and phone manner. *Applicants must have previous medical administration experience and be available to work at both practice locations.

The position on offer:

Part time, 3 days per week across our two locations, with flexibility to cover leave

Flexible start and finish times but predominantly 8.00am to 5.00pm

Remuneration $34-$38 per hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Coordination of patient appointments and calendar management

Preparation of surgical bookings and health fund checks

Patient invoicing and receipting

Management of hospitals and other medical specialists

General office and clerical duties as required

The successful applicant will:

Be motivated, punctual and reliable

Be well presented with great people skills

Have excellent attention to detail yet capable of multitasking

Be able to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as in a team

Have a calm, polite demeanour

Have fluency in written and verbal English

An understanding of dental item numbers, dental surgical procedures and terminology will be highly regarded.

In Miranda our office is adjacent to the train station and across the road from Westfield. In Sydney CBD, we are close to Town Hall and Museum Train Stations and Gadigal Metro.
