About Us

Living My Way is a trusted Not-For-Profit organisation with over 30 years of experience supporting people with disabilities to live independently with choice and control.

We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable support workers in Southern Sydney to assist a young boy with intellectual disability and complex behaviours, providing personal care and community access support.

About the Role

As a Support Worker with Living My Way, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to lead fulfilling lives. This role is focused on assisting a young male member to achieve his goals at home and in the community.

You will provide tailored support that reflects his personal goals and developmental needs, while promoting our values of inclusion, choice, and control in all aspects of care.

Shifts currently on offer:

Weekend shifts: Saturdays and Sundays

Morning: 7:00am – 1:00pm

Afternoon: 1:00pm – 9:15pm

Weekday shifts: Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays:

Afternoon: 2:00pm – 9:15pm

Key responsibilities:

• Delivery high-quality person-centred care

• Assist with personal care (e.g. showering, grooming and dressing etc.)

• Support with manual Handling

• Provide meal preparation and domestic assistance

• Facilitate community access (own vehicle required)

What we’re looking for:

• Experience supporting people with intellectual disabilities and complex

behaviours

• Experience working with children or young people

• Flexible, proactive, and detail-oriented approach

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Certificate III or IV in Individual Support or a related qualification (desirable)

• Compliance checks (NDIS WSC and WWCC)

• Current First Aid and CPR certificate

• You must have the right to live and work in Australia

• Divers Licence and reliable vehicle
