We’re seeking an experienced and values-driven Finance Manager to lead our finance and administration team and ensure our organisation’s financial health and compliance. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving accuracy, efficiency and capability across all financial functions.
About the Role
As Finance Manager, you’ll lead our finance and administration team ensuring the integrity, efficiency and accuracy of our financial operations. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you’ll deliver timely reporting, grant acquittals, budgeting support and compliance while driving continuous improvement of systems and processes. You’ll also work closely with leaders across the organisation to build financial capability and to support oversight of fleet, facilities and procurement functions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing finance and administration team
Deliver accurate, timely financial reports, budgets, forecasts and analysis
Oversee core operations including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations and month-end processes
Manage grant acquittals, compliance obligations and external audit preparation
Partner with managers to build financial literacy and translate data into actionable insights
Drive system and process improvements including automation and control enhancements
Provide oversight for fleet, facilities and procurement cost tracking
What you’ll bring:
Minimum 5 years' experience in financial management including 2+ years in team leadership roles
Degree in accounting, finance or related discipline (CPA/CA highly regarded)
Proficiency in ERP systems e.g. Xero, MYOB, and advanced Excel skills
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, compliance and reporting
Demonstrated success in financial management, team leadership and systems improvement
Excellent analytical, organisational and communication skills with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
Experience in not-for-profit sector finance management preferred
All CTST employees must:
be an Australian Resident or hold an Australian Working Visa
hold a current driver’s licence
have a Working with Vulnerable Persons Card (or be willing to obtain)
be willing to obtain a National Police Check
