We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Manager - Safe Haven in our northwest region. This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader in Therapeutic / Trauma informed practice to join Glenhaven’s Safe Haven program. The Manager – Safe Haven will oversee a high level of quality care and support to children / young persons with complex needs living in our Safe Haven program. This role will promote a nurturing and trusting environment that is conducive to therapeutic growth and the development of emotional resilience.
This role is based in our Ulverstone office.
We are looking for a person with skills, experience and talent in therapeutic / trauma informed care as well as staff management experience who hold a minimum of Diploma in Community Services and who align with our values of Compassion, Hope, Respect, Integrity and Support.
As a Manager across Therapeutic / Trauma informed care, you will have:
Experience in providing therapeutic trauma informed care to children and young people and an understanding of developmental trauma.
A minimum Diploma of Community Services or the ability to acquire.
Knowledge of the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry (SCHADS) Award.
Familiarity with Child Safety Services and compliance with the relevant legislation (Children, Young Persons and Their Families Act 1997).
A caring nature, be patient, supportive, resilient, and passionate about people and your role.
A willingness to be available to take a call from Glenhaven's on-call staff after hours if needed.
Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (must have at least Tasmanian P2 licence).
Hold a current NDIS-endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card or have the ability to acquire.
Hold a current Nationally Coordinated Criminal History police check OR National Police Check or happy to submit to one.
