We’re seeking a highly capable APAC Payroll Manager to lead a high-performing, geographically dispersed team and oversee payroll operations across multiple entities, systems, and countries. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a team of six, partner with senior leaders, and ensure compliant, accurate, and timely payroll delivery for a complex, multi-jurisdictional business.

About the role
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 6 payroll professionals
- Manage payroll operations across Australia, New Zealand, and wider APAC regions
- Drive accuracy, compliance, and service excellence in payroll delivery
- Oversee multiple payroll systems and process improvements
- Integrate newly acquired businesses into payroll operations
- Partner closely with HR, Finance, and operational leaders on payroll strategy and execution
- Manage both in-house processing and third-party providers through BAU, system changes, and acquisitions
What you bring
- Proven ability to lead and execute payroll across multiple regions and systems
- Strong technical payroll expertise, including compliance in Australia, New Zealand, and APAC
- Experience in both strategic leadership and hands-on processing, reconciliation, and compliance
- Background managing payroll through growth, acquisitions, and system transitions
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Passion for continuous improvement, risk management, and operational excellence
