AQUATIC & FITNESS
PART-TIME (MINIMUM 18 HOURS PER WEEK)
MAXIMUM TERM CONTRACT TO 30 JUNE 2026

  • From $34.77 per hour + 12% Super + leave for a guaranteed 18 hours per week
  • Opportunity for additional hours up to 38 hours per week, undertaking program delivery and centre support.
  • Additional hours paid at Monday to Friday from $38.63 per hour, Saturday from $46.35 per hr, Sunday from $54.07 per hr plus 12% Super and accumulation of Long Service Leave

Are you passionate about planning and delivering dynamic, creative, and engaging fitness and aquatic programs?

Enfield Aquatic Centre, a cherished part of the Burwood community since 1933 with a vibrant and active local community, is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to be part of our Programs team.

This role allows for 18 hours per week to be dedicated to program planning, coordination, crucial system management and administrative functions.

Beyond the desk, there will also be essential hands-on involvement in program delivery and centre operations.

Responsibilities of this varied role include:-

  • Supporting the Programs Team Leader in organising, conducting, and reviewing Learn to Swim, Squad, and Fitness Programs
  • Assisting in maintaining the booking system and database, and conducting end-of-day routines regarding admission intakes and register balancing
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of program procedures, ensuring compliance with national standards, legislative requirements, and Council policies
  • Assisting with ensuring all Learn to Swim, Squad, and Fitness equipment is maintained and stored appropriately
  • Conducting Learn to Swim lessons, as required, support School Intensive and Holiday Learn to Swim programs.
  • Support instructors to ensure that lesson plans are carried out correctly and safely and assist with the training of new programs staff.
  • Undertake effective customer/stakeholder liaison and conflict resolution.

Key Essential Requirements:-

Certifications & Qualifications:

  • AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate
  • AUSTSWIM Assessor Licence
  • Royal Life Saving Approved Workplace Supervisor (Assessor of Swim Teachers)
  • Current CPR Certificate
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Current & valid Working with Children Check

Skills & Experience required:-

  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of successful aquatic programs
  • Demonstrated experience teaching people of diverse backgrounds and skills to swim
  • Well-developed organisational skills, including the ability to manage a complex workload
  • Highly developed communication skills, both written and spoken, conflict resolution skills and experience effectively handling customer enquiries and complaints

Key Requirements:-

  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment health assessment
  • COVID-19 vaccination for all employees (2 Vaccines)
