About the role

Our client is currently seeking a sales representative to service their existing customer base as well as do quotes, present products, assist with installations, and close sales to new business. As their products are technical, auto electrical knowledge would be highly regarded.

You will service a diverse customer base that would include:

• Distributors
• Resellers
• Mining and Heavy Construction
• Independent Auto Electricians
• Manufacturers
• 4X4 accessories up fitters
• Local Councils and Government sectors

You will be backed by experienced and committed management and an internal sales team promoting brand name products. You will be required to travel regularly, one week per month. A fully maintained vehicle, as well as a work laptop and mobile will be provided.

Duties include:

• Preparing quotes
• Pricing tenders
• Assist distributors and clients on site with technical installations
• Promote products and provide solutions
• Develop and close sales through direct dealings or via their distributor network
• Maintaining an 8 week visit cycle
• Keeping diary up to date
• Sales reporting

Skills and experience

• Unrestricted Australian work rights
• Drivers licence
• Great communication skills
• Good presentation with a strong work ethic
• Have competent computer skills
• Sales and/or service experience - face to face
• Auto electrical knowledge is preferred
