We are looking for an Art and Placemaking Business Manager

Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid Role)

Employment Type: Full-time, 4 days per week (Tuesday–Friday)

Base Salary: $70,000 - $100,000 (pro rata) + super + commission on new business

OTE: $85,000–$120,000+ depending on performance

The Role

We're on the hunt for a senior client-facing powerhouse who can manage big ideas and bigger personalities, from corporate leaders to world-class artists.

Your mission?
Deliver exceptional art projects, keep clients happy, champion artists, and ensure everything runs smoothly, just like a perfectly poured flat white.

This role combines art project management, tenders, client relationship management, and a touch of event expertise. You'll be the link between our creative vision and the people who trust us to bring it to life.

What You'll Do

Project & Client Magic

Lead art projects from first brief to final installation (and the champagne after)

Be the go-to person for your clients and artists; answering questions, solving problems, and making it all look effortless

Present art concepts and proposals with confidence and flair

Keep timelines, budgets, and deliverables on track without losing the creative spark

Artist & Supplier Coordination

Curate shortlists and coordinate proposals

Work with fabricators, installers, and other creatives to deliver to the highest standard

Events (The Fun Part)

Help us throw a handful of small but mighty events each year — from VIP exhibition previews to Women's networking coffee mornings called www.flourishnetworking.com.au

Manage the details so the creative energy can shine

Business & Operations Support

Keep our CRM and project systems neat

Assist with proposals and pitch documents

Help create beautiful client presentations (you know your way around Adobe Creative Suite)

Attention to detail is important!

About You

You're part creative, part strategist, and 100% a people person.

Experience: 2–5+ years in the arts, design, architecture, or creative industries

Experience: 2-5+ years in arts/creative industries, including a minimum of 2 years managing complex creative projects

Previous experience leading client-facing teams or managing multiple stakeholders required

Skills: Client management, project delivery, presentation design, problem-solving under pressure

Demonstrated proficiency with CRM systems (Capsule or similar) required

Tools: Adobe Creative Suite, CRM/project management systems, and everyday business software

Style: Calm under pressure, diplomatic with strong personalities, unflappable in the face of a last-minute install change

Bachelor's degree in Arts, Design, Business or related field preferred
