About the role

Toowoomba Hand Therapy is seeking a passionate and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly team on a part-time basis. Based in our clinic in East Toowoomba, QLD, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and administrative support to our patients and clinicians.

What you'll be doing

Greeting and welcoming patients in a warm and professional manner

Scheduling and managing patient appointments across multiple clinicians

Handling telephone inquiries and booking requests efficiently

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records

Assisting with billing, invoicing and other administrative tasks

Ensuring the reception area and waiting room are well-presented at all times

Working collaboratively with the clinical team to provide a seamless patient experience

What we're looking for

Ideally previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar customer-facing role within the healthcare industry. However we are happy to train you

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and empathetic manner

Strong administrative and organisational abilities with attention to detail

Proficiency in using medical software and electronic patient management systems

A genuine interest in healthcare and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service

The ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced clinical setting
