About the role

Provide focused supervision on correct equipment usage and conduct Microdot audits to identify infection control non-compliance, implementing retraining where required. Deliver specialised training and development to internal staff in accordance with Queensland Health's Training and Development plans, policies, and relevant legislative requirements.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Carry out responsibilities in line with Queensland Health's core values, policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
  • Plan, deliver, assess, coordinate, and evaluate training and development programs for all Patient Support Services staff, utilising internal and external training resources.
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and guidance to afternoon and evening staff to ensure safe, consistent, and compliant equipment use.
  • Conduct Microdot audits to monitor infection control compliance, accurately record outcomes, analyse trends, and coordinate retraining initiatives in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify training gaps through audits, direct observation, staff feedback, and quality assurance processes, implementing targeted refresher or skills development programs.
