About the Role

Strategic Business is assisting IMPACT Community Services in recruiting a dynamic and experienced Training and Development Manager to lead the organisation’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and drive excellence in vocational education and workforce development.

This strategic leadership role blends big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery and is ideal for a values-driven leader passionate about education, community impact, and innovation.

As the Training and Development Manager, you will oversee the strategic, commercial, and operational performance of the RTO across six core areas:

Strategic Leadership

Set and lead the strategic direction and daily operations of the RTO

Align training delivery with organisational goals and community needs

Commercial Growth

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams

Contribute to competitive tenders, including state and federal government-funded contracts

Create and manage the RTO budget to ensure sustainability and growth

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and support a high-performing team of trainers and assessors

Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Operational Oversight

Ensure full compliance with national standards and regulatory frameworks (e.g. ASQA, AQF)

Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of accredited and non-accredited training programs

Monitor and meet all contractual Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Stakeholder Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with industry, community partners, and funding bodies

Innovation & Improvement

Champion innovation in training delivery, including digital and blended learning models

Drive continuous improvement across systems, delivery, and learner outcomes

About You

You’ll bring:

Proven experience managing an RTO or similar training environment

Strong knowledge of VET sector compliance and the Standards for RTOs

Relevant qualifications in Training and Assessment (e.g. TAE40122 or equivalent), plus qualifications in business or education management

A passion for lifelong learning, skills development, and community impact

Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire high performance and continuous improvement
