Community Corrections have a Senior Training Officer position available in Darwin or Alice Springs.
The Department of Corrections (DoC) performs an essential role in our community and the criminal justice system. Our work is complex, and we often work under difficult circumstances, but the job is rewarding.
Community Corrections services the entire Northern Territory with regional offices in Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek with smaller offices located in Nhulunbuy, Groote Eylandt and Wadeye. We reach almost 80 communities.

In the role you will manage the development, implementation, delivery, assessment and review of the training program for the effective implementation and advancement of current programs and new initiatives in Community Corrections (NTCC) across the NT.
The Senior Training Officer is responsible for:
Developing and implementing a training program that addresses training and development needs for the effective implementation and advancement of new initiatives and core business delivery using cost effective models.
Ensuring the training programs addresses both current and future training and development needs of NTCC staff covering complex case management and statutory obligations.
Community Corrections are looking for applicants who ideally have experience in training who:
Possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
Have demonstrated experience in the development, preparation, delivery, assessment and review of accredited training packages that promote effective competency development.
Have demonstrated experience in conducting research, analysis and reporting to meet identified training needs identification and monitoring including ability to develop technical competencies, identify skills gaps, develop training to address identified needs, collate training information and evaluate ongoing effectiveness.
Have proven ability to design and deliver specialised core and noncore training programs for group or 1-on-1 delivery to meet legislative requirements and practice decisions.
Ideally has previous experience and/or knowledge of a correctional services/community corrections environment
