Community Corrections services the entire Northern Territory with regional offices in Darwin, Alice Springs, Katherine and Tennant Creek with smaller offices located in Nhulunbuy, Groote Eylandt and Wadeye. We reach almost 80 communities.

In the role you will assist in providing expert advice and the development, implementation, delivery, and assessment of accredited training packages to Community Corrections staff including Probation and Parole Officers, to ensure that the training is part of a planned program designed to meet current and future needs.
Training Officers are responsible for training and capacity building Compliance Officers, Probation and Parole Officers and Team Leaders in key aspects of their statutory roles, including case management of offenders and preparation of court assessments and parole reports.
Community Corrections are looking for applicants who ideally have experience in training who:
possess a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
could train in case management of complex cases, including experience of writing, vetting and assessing reports for a variety of audiences including sentencing authorities.
have demonstrated experience in the development, preparation, delivery and assessment of accredited training programs to ensure staff, such as Probation and Parole Officers, are competent in their roles.
have demonstrated high level interpersonal and oral and written communication skills through training and coaching staff in classroom, office, and community settings.
